His background includes multiple leadership roles directing global communications (corporate and NGO/nonprofit), strategic communications for The Department of Commerce, The State Department, D.C. He has advised federal departments engaging in crisis communications, guided international cultural institutions such as Guggenheim Museum as they expanded into complex cultural regions of the Middle East, and revised educational programming for institutions such as The MET to be more culturally sensitive .
Basem builds communications on research and has routinely presented targeted demographic research data to Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries, C level Executives, and Directors of Federal Government, State Government, Corporate Leadership, Embassy Ambassadors, and NGO/Nonprofit Leadership.
